Pros: Taylor-Stuart aligns at cornerback for the Trojans’ defense. He is an excellent athlete as evidenced by his straight-line speed, agility, and quickness in coverage. In the run game, he is a willing participant as a tackler, effectively getting the ball carrier to the ground. In the passing game, he displays his outstanding athletic profile in man coverage situations. As a press corner, he does an excellent job opening his hips on outside releases. He does a good job of getting his head around and locating the football in the air. He will get out of his pedal early in off-man and is seemingly more comfortable playing from this position in off-man coverage.
Cons: He is a tremendous athlete who has yet to reach his potential as a player. Based on his athletic profile, he is capable of so much more, particularly with regards to making more plays in the passing game. He does have a couple extra steps at the top of the route in off-man coverage but nothing glaring in this regard. He needs to continue to perfect his technique, which will also help him to maximize his excellent natural gifts for the position.
